How can I communicate items that aren't being fulfilled on a request to the field?
If a user requested inventory that won't be arriving, let them know using this method.

Sometimes inventory requests cannot be completed in full. You may have to send a partial shipment until inventory can be secured to complete the rest of the request or items may be backordered indefinitely. Learn more about Partial Shipments and Requests.
When items are not going to be included in a shipment, it’s usually a good idea to communicate this to the recipient. We’ve built a workflow to accommodate this that allows you to mark which devices will be partially fulfilled or not included, and then indicate this on the Packing Slip.
-
First, go through the steps of fulfilling your inventory request as you normally would.
-
Once you know which items will not be fulfilled completely navigate to the Request Detail screen and scroll down to the Requested Inventory section.
-
You’ll notice checkboxes next to each line item that was requested labeled “Partial or none shipped”.
-
Check this box for each item that was not fulfilled in total. Only Admin users are able to edit the checkboxes and reason fields.
-
Next, click on the Pencil icon next to each line with a marked checkbox.
-
In the pop-up window record the reason (optional) why the inventory was not included.
-
Next, enter the quantity that WAS shipped. Enter a zero if none were sent.
-
Click “Save”
-
Now, the packing slips for any transfers generated in fulfillment of this request will have the option of displaying which items were marked as Partial or Not shipped as of the date and time the packing slip PDF was generated.
-
If updates are made at a later date and the PDFs of these transfers are re-generated, they will reflect the current state of the items fulfillment at the time that the PDF is generated. Learn more about these packing slips here.
