How can I create a manufacturer in my Directory?

The Manufacturer is a critical piece of your account setup as it is a precursor to adding your inventory, creating Events, selling inventory, and billing - so this information must be correct. 

To create a Manufacturer: 

  1. Navigate to the Directory --> Manufacturers page
  2. Click on the "+ New Manufacturer". If you would like to enter all of your manufacturer information manually, please skip to Step 7
  3. If you would like, you may search the FDA GUDID database to pull in whatever manufacturer information they have on file. 
  4. Alternatively, you may also scan a device label to look up the manufacturer in the FDA GUDID database. Click on the "Scan to Add" button Screenshot 2024-06-19 at 7.28.37 AM
  5. Select if you would like to use the camera on your device to scan or an external scanner. Screenshot 2024-06-19 at 7.29.02 AM

  7. If the system is able to locate the device identifier in the FDA GUDID database it will return the information that it finds available. Fill in any blanks in the contact Manufacturer information, then click Next. Screenshot 2024-06-19 at 7.36.27 AM
  8. Add any Additional Contacts that you would like to store for this manufacturer.
  9. Then click "Create" 
  10. Make sure to assign this manufacturer to any users who will be selling their inventory or billing for their cases in the User Detail screens. Read more about this here
