How can I deactivate a manufacturer?
In the normal course of business you may have manufacturer partners you no longer do business with and will no longer be carrying their products. In these cases it can be helpful to make the manufacturer record inactive so no more inventory can be requested or created for that manufacturer.
A Note of Caution
Consider if you still have active inventory for this manufacturer.
- Will it continue to be used? Should it be deactivated?
- It can also be useful to deactivate catalog records so they don't appear in selection menus.
- Are there active requests associated with this manufacturer?
- Are there active cases being billed for this manufacturer?
You are not allowed to deactivate the Primary Organization Manufacturer as it is critical to the normal functioning of your account. If for some reason you need to deactivate the Primary Org Manufacturer, please contact support@connectsx.com to discuss what alternative options are possible.
To Deactivate a Manufacturer:
- Navigate to the Directory section of Beacon as an Operations user
- Click on Manufacturers
- Locate the manufacturer you would like to deactivate
- Click on it to open its detail screen
- Click on the red deactivate button in the upper right corner.
- When prompted, click Deactivate.
