How can I set up Quick Transfers for my users?
Quick Transfers are a helpful way to manage inventory in forward stocking locations or satellite warehouses, which we refer to as Quick Transfer Locations. Then, authorized users may transfer themselves inventory directly from these Quick Transfer locations when they are in need of inventory.
Note: Transfers from Quick Transfer Locations are accepted automatically. So when a user needs inventory and transfers from a Quick Transfer Location, the inventory becomes immediately available for use.
To use Quick Transfers in your Organization you need to do 3 things:
- Create Quick Transfer Locations (And transfer inventory to them)
- Assign Quick Transfer Locations to Users
How to set Up Quick Transfer Locations:
- To create a Quick Transfer Location, create as many Custodian-Only User accounts as you need to represent all of your Quick Transfer Locations.
- Name these Custodian-Only Users accordingly so your users will easily be able to identify them distinctly in a drop down list.
Assign your Quick Transfer Locations to your Users:
Quick Transfers may only be created from a Quick Transfer Location, if the recipient user has had the Quick Transfer Location assigned to them.
- Navigate to the Users screen
- Click on the User who needs Quick Transfer permissions to open their detail screen
- Scroll down to the user setting to enable Quick Transfers
- Switch the toggle to "ON"
- In the field provided, click the ADD button to add as many custodian-only users as needed to participate in Quick Transfers to this user
- Now these users will be able to create Quick Transfers to themselves from these Quick Transfer Locations if they ever need to.
