Beacon allows you to scan barcodes using the camera on your device(s), but you can also utilize external scanners.
1. Install your scanner and any relevant software on your devices.
2. Open Beacon and Navigate to an inventory search screen, such as the Mark Used Inventory screen for a case.
3. Click on the Barcode Scan button or one of the Scan to Add Options to open the Beacon Scanning window.
4. Ensure your barcode scanner is connected to your device.
4. Click "Scan using external scanner" in the Beacon Scanning window.
5. Then, without clicking away from the window, use your scanner to scan the barcode.
6. When the app receives the barcode data it will search your inventory for matching UDIs
