How can I use customer preferences to quote a case?

Use the preference cards in your Directory to create quotes for a case and even generate the sales order

  1. First create your Event, and in so doing select the option to populate a Preference Card

  2. Finish creating your Event

  3. If you do not assign a Preference Card while creating the Event, you may return to do this at any time in the Event Detail screen.

    1. If you do this, you will need to click on the Quote tab and click the button for “Create Quote from Preference Card” in order to use the preference card.

  4. Once you’ve added the Preference Card to the Event, click on the “Link” icon to open up the Preference Card page, or click on the magnifying glass icon next to the preference card to view the Preference Card detail in the same page you’re on.

  5. Next, open up the “Quote” tab in the Event Detail screen, you’ll notice it has been populated already with the devices that were associated with the Preference Card.

  6. Next, review the details of the quote, such as Price and Quantity, making any edits that are required. To add additional items, or edit the items that are selected in the Quote click “Edit Quote”.

  7. Next, you may Download the PDF of the Quote or Send as Email Attachment to share with the customer.

  8. You may then use the Quote to help select inventory in the Mark Used Inventory tab to complete the case and get it ready to Submit for Billing. Read more about how to do this here.
