How do I request inventory in Beacon Mobile?
When a sales or distirbutor needs inventory for a case, they can submit an inventory request to the manufacturer for fulfillment using their app.
They may submit a request at any time, but triggering the inventory request from the Event detail screen of a scheduled case, will create a link between that case and that request which can be useful later.
-
There are numerous ways to initiate an inventory request in Beacon Mobile. Go to one of these locations and click “Request Inventory” or “Request Replenishment”
-
The Event Detail screen, by clicking on the "More" or kabob menu and selecting the create request option.
-
The Movement → Requests section of the console, by clicking the new request button
-
When submitting an Event for Billing and selecting Request replenishment (Replenishment Request)
-
-
After you have started creating your request, Select the Manufacturer you are requesting inventory from using the dropdown menu that appears when you click into the field.
-
If applicable, select an Inventory Preference Card (Formerly Request Recipes) from the available dropdown menu. To learn more about Preference Cards, check out this article. Then click Next.
-
Next select the inventory you would like to request.
-
Search and filter your inventory using the filters at the top of the screen. If this is a replenishment request, the inventory from the Event will already be populated for you from what was used in the case.
-
Use the Product lines/Loose Devices filter to request full product lines or loose devices. Just select the appropriate product line in the filters and, if applicable, choose Instruments or Implants.
-
Make any modifications to the quantities you are requesting using the +/- buttons, then Click Next
-
Review your request and enter the remaining information in the appropriate fields:
-
the Need By Date: Select when the inventory will ideally arrive by.
-
Shipping Address: The ship-to address will auto-default to the Requestor's shipping address, but may be changed if needed.
-
Request Notes: Add any additional context that may help in fulfilling or shipping the request.
-
-
Then click “Create”
Currently, when selecting a complete set, you select based on Product Line. We understand that some trays from a product line may have different designations or purposes and that you’d like to request a specific tray from a product line. Consider creating specific product lines if you need to be more specific about which container from a set you are needing to request.
You can also coach your users to use Notes in the inventory request, signifying the type of tray they need.
