Just because a user requests inventory, doesn't mean that that is where it should be sent. A common example of this would be in a Distributor group which shares inventory among its sales reps. The sales rep completes a case and submits a replenishment request to the manufacturer, but the inventory should be sent to the Distributor so it can be added to their shared warehouse (rather than sending the inventory to the rep directly).
You may accommodate for this easily while you are fulfilling the inventory request by following these steps:
- Locate the inventory request to be fulfilled in the Movement section of Beacon
- Click "Select inventory" to begin fulfilling the request
- In the pop-up, if the user is part of a distributor group you will be able to click on the "X" next to the recipient so you may select a new one.
- Select the desired recipient from the dropdown menu.
- Complete the rest of your request fulfillment as normal.
