What are Stocking Orders and what is Facility Stock?
This Event type lets you sell inventory direct to a customer, outside of a surgical case setting
- Stocking order is an Event type built to accommodate situations where inventory is ordered by a healthcare provider and fulfilled directly by the manufacturer in a one-time direct sale, outside of the surgical case setting.
- However, sold inventory will become Facility Stock and will be forever associated with that Facility and the User who sold it, until it is deactivated.
- The key question is: when will this inventory be deactivated?
- Facility Stock may be deactivated immediately when the Stocking Order is submitted for billing (Direct Sale)
- Alternatively, Facility Stock may remain active (although already sold) so its inevitable use by the facility may be tracked in a case for traceability purposes. The sale will not be counted twice when the item is finally deactivated.
- Facility stock is already considered sold and cannot be sold again. When it is used in a Case, after the sale, it will be considered unbillable. This allows the usage to be tracked without duplicating sales in your account.
- When the Facility Stock item is used in a Case at a later date, it will be deactivated.
