How can I auto-refill a container after devices have been used?

Last Updated: June 2024

The Bills of Materials feature was already a powerful tool to help you in keeping track of what belongs in your Trays, but it just got easier to keep your Containers fully-stocked. We’ve added an auto-fill feature allowing you to easily bring up an item in a container to its par level - the only caveat is you cannot control which lot it uses to fill the gap.

Containers are currently limited to 500 items. You will not be allowed to add inventory above that level or to create containers with more than that quantity.

  1. To utilize this feature you must have active Bills of Materials associated with your container. To learn how, read this.

  2. Navigate to the Inventory screen and click on the container you’d like to restock

  3. Scroll down to the Bill of Material section.

  4. Identify the items that have a Shortage

  5. Click the “Auto-Fill” button to automatically select inventory to fill the gap. If you use this option you will need to pay attention to which Lots the system selected to fill the container and make sure that those lots physically get picked to stock the tray.

  6. After you click the “Auto-Refill” button, you may select either:

    1. FIFO (First-In-First-Out): which will select your oldest inventory to replenish the container

    2. LIFO (Last-In-First-Out): which will select your newest inventory to replenish the container

  7. You may also click “Fix Shortages” as an alternative, which will allow you to select which lots get used to fix the shortage.
