Understanding Advanced Expiration Filtering
To give users more control when moving inventory, we have replaced the static "Expiring Soon" status filter with a flexible day range slider and a Show Expired option. These improvements are specifically designed for the inventory selection process during transfers and request fulfillment, ensuring you can precisely identify items based on their remaining shelf life.
What it Means for You
Customizable Windows: Move beyond a predefined "soon" status by using a slider to define the exact expiration window relevant to your transfer.
Expired Stock Visibility: Quickly toggle a checkbox to view or hide expired items when selecting inventory.
Priority Sorting: Organize your searched inventory results by expiration date to ensure items expiring first are prioritized for fulfillment.
Using Advanced Expiration Filtering in Your Workflow
Inventory Transfers
When creating a transfer to another custodian, you can use the slider to filter out items that do not meet your organization's shelf-life requirements for field stock.
Request Fulfillment
When selecting inventory to fulfill an open request, these new tools allow you to quickly sort and pick items that are closest to their expiration date, helping to reduce waste.
How to use Advanced Expiration Filtering
Open the Inventory Selector: Navigate to the inventory selection step within a Transfer or when fulfilling an Inventory Request.
Adjust the Expiration Slider: Use the day range slider to choose a specific range (e.g., items expiring within the next 90 days).
View Expired Items: To see inventory that has already passed its expiration date, check the Show Expired box. Note: The day range slider will deactivate while this is selected.
Sort Your Results: Use the sorting options to arrange your searched inventory by Expiration Date, placing items that expire soonest at the top of the list.
