Understanding Sub-Representative Assignment
This feature allows for the assignment of a second representative to a case event to track secondary involvement for commission reporting and official documentation. It ensures that both the primary and sub-representative are correctly identified on official Sales Order documents.
What it Means for You
Commission Splitting: Provides the necessary data to track secondary reps for commission split calculations in reporting.
Automatic Document Updates: The sub-representative’s name is automatically included in the data used to generate Sales Orders.
Filtered Selection: The search tool automatically limits results to active users within the same distributorship as the primary representative to ensure organizational consistency.
Using Sub-Representative Assignment in Your Workflow
Event Details
The Sub-Representative field is located on the Event Detail page within the Basic Information section. It is positioned directly below the primary Representative field.
How to use Sub-Representative Assignment
Navigate to the Event Detail page for an existing case.
Locate the Basic Information section.
Click into the Sub-Representative field and use the type-ahead search to find the secondary representative.
Select the user to save them to the event; they will now be included in the event data and on the Sales Order PDF.
If you need to remove the assignment, you can clear the field at any time regardless of the event's status.
Note: This field is only available and editable when the primary representative is assigned to a distributorship. The primary representative cannot be selected as their own sub-representative.
