Overview
During a review of an incoming transfer, you may discover that an item listed inside a container (such as a tray or kit) is physically missing. To ensure your digital tracking matches reality, ConnectSx Beacon allows authorized users to mark these specific items as Removed prior to fully accepting the transfer.
This feature ensures accurate device traceability and ensures that missing items are not mistakenly accepted into your custody.
Prerequisites & Permissions
Eligible Roles: This action can only be performed by users with Admin or Ops roles.
Sales and distributor users who need an item removed from a transfer shipment must reach out to the Organization to get the item removed BEFORE accepting it (must still be a Pending transfer).
Scope: This applies strictly to containerized or loose items within an active, pending transfer.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Navigate to the Active Transfer
Open the ConnectSx Console and navigate to the Movements > Transfers section.
Select the pending transfer that you are physically auditing to open its Transfer Detail page.
Step 2: Expand the Container View
Locate the container row that has the missing item.
Click the Carat/Arrow icon on the left side of the container row to expand it and reveal the individual items nested inside.
Step 3: Remove the Missing Item
Find the specific item row of the transfer inventory list that is physically missing.
Click the Trash Icon located at the end of that item's row.
A confirmation modal will appear on your screen displaying the message: "Confirm item is missing?".
Click Confirm.
⚠️ Important Visual Indicators & Rules
* Visual Strikethrough: Once confirmed, the item remains on your screen but will be visually grayed out with a Strikethrough and a "Removed" badge next to it.
*Automatic Custody Reversion: Releasing the item from the container immediately resets its digital custody back to the original Sender and restores its pre-transfer status.
* Due Back Date Retention: The missing item will retain its original due back dates and statuses. If the item was already past due, it will immediately show as past due back in the sender's inventory.
Step 4: Finalize the Audit and Accept the Transfer
Once your audit is complete and all missing items are flagged, click Accept Transfer.
The system will process the transfer and update custody ONLY for the items marked as
INCLUDED.The items you removed will fully separate from the container, and a removal will be logged automatically to that item's history profile for compliance auditing.
Critical Edge Cases to Keep in Mind
Removing the Last Item in a Container: If you attempt to remove the very last remaining item from a container transfer, the system will display a warning modal: "You are about to remove the last remaining item from this container. The transfer will be automatically declined. Continue?" If you click continue, the transfer status will instantly move to Declined.
The "Release" Action vs. "Trash" Audit: If an item is marked missing, it stays on the device list with a
REMOVEDtag, and its standalone "Release" button becomes active because it is no longer bound to the container. Be aware that clicking the main Release button will entirely erase the item from the transfer record, stripping away the auditing history of it being missing. Always rely on the Trash Icon inside the container accordion for proper audit tracking.
