Sometimes Facilities do not pay their bills. You may get to the point where you need to prevent more cases from being done at a Facility until they start paying what they owe. ConnectSx has a setting that allows you to place a customer on Credit Hold, which will prevent any other cases from being entered at that Facility until the hold is removed.
How to Set Up or Remove a Facility Credit Hold
Log into the ConnectSx Beacon Console as an Admin or Operations user.
Navigate to Directory > Facilities and select the target facility.
Scroll down to the Billing Information section.
Toggle the Credit Hold setting to ON (to freeze business) or OFF (to restore normal operations).
Select the Start Date.
Note: Credit Hold can be applied in advance on a target date in the future.
Enter an optional Credit Hold Reason/Note (e.g., "Past due invoices > 90 days — Awaiting AR clearance").
Click Save. Notifications will immediately dispatch to assigned field personnel and central finance contacts.
Best Practices
Update User Assignments Regularly: Keep facility-to-user assignments up to date so sales representatives receive automated alerts as soon as their accounts are affected.
Include Detailed Notes: Always provide a brief reason when applying a hold to give field reps actionable context when speaking with hospital purchasing departments.
Combine with Past Due Reporting: Use the Past Due Report in Beacon Analytics to monitor overdue POs and proactively address payment delays before applying a formal Credit Hold.
Email Notifications
When a facility is placed on credit hold or has credit hold removed, an email notification will be sent to users who have that Facility assigned.
What if my users still try to do cases there?
When users are selecting their facility in an Event they will see a credit hold chip in the dropdown menu.
If the user still attempts to select the Facility for the event, they will receive this blocking pop-up.
