Current Beacon Release

v5.11.0, December 2025

Facilities

  • Added the ability to save an Account Number for each facility. This account number will be populated on billing documents (Invoice and Sales Order)

Transfers & Requests

  • Added new "Return To" feature, allowing operations users to specify where transferred loaner inventory should be returned. Users can specify different custodians in the same transfer, meaning if you send 3 kits to the field on loan, you can specify those kits be returned to 3 different custodians.
  • Added a feature in the "Return To" that simplifies the actual return process for the field user, making it easier to take action on the return process and create the appropriate transfers.
  • Added a new "Round Trip" feature, making it easier for a user to return unused inventory that was sent as part of an original transfer.
  • Added an email notification users on the "inventory request recipients" list to in form them when a user performs a "Quick Transfer" to themselves. 
  • Added the ability for a user to attach documents or images–such as pre-operative plans, room set-ups, etc.–to an inventory request.
  • Added additional product information to org-level inventory requests (requests the Org makes of their suppliers), including product type and "Implant only"/"Instrument only". 
  • Added a new automated replenishment request option for transfers sent to the organization that include expired inventory. This allows users to request 1:1 replenishment of expired inventory items automatically.  

Events

  • Removed the "Manufacturer" field from the event creation workflow to simplify the process of creating an event.
  • Improved the billing document generation interface by removing the multi-layer fly-out menus and replacing them with checkbox options.
  • Added "tag" buttons in the event comment section to add "#Feedback" and "#Report Issue" designation to the comment. Using these tags when adding a comment allows us to generate reports that catalog all comments with the associated tags.

Inventory

User Interface & Experience

  • Updated the "Physician Assignments" UI in the physician detail pages to match the User Assignment design pattern. 
  • Added type-ahead search to additional search fields, including "Canonical Name" field in container catalog detail.
  • Added "Canonical Name" field to individual container detail pages
  • Add the "Add PO" quick action button on the event list page. 
  • Fixed general UI/UX bugs to improve overall usability
